๐Ÿงฉ Understanding the Structure

Plan Structure
  • Plans define the overall product or service offering (e.g., Annual Subscription, Monthly Plan, Add-On).
  • Pricing Groups are versions of pricing (e.g., 2025 Pricing, Q4 Promo) tied to a Plan.
  • Tiers specify the pricing structure (e.g., Silver, Gold, 0โ€“1000 emails) within each Pricing Group.

โœ… Step 1: Create a Plan

Navigate to: Go to Pricing in the sidebar or visit /plans. 1. Click Add Plan in the top-right corner. A dialog will appear. Add Plan Dialog

๐Ÿง  Plan Types Explained

There are 4 types of plans you can choose from:
  • Fixed Rate
    A flat fee billed on a set cadence (e.g., $10/month for Netflix).
  • Graduated Rates
    Tiered pricing based on usage metrics. Example:
    • 0โ€“1000 emails
    • 1001โ€“2500 emails
    โš ๏ธ Youโ€™ll select the usage metric in the next step.
  • Levels
    Tiered pricing not based on usage (e.g., Bronze/Silver/Gold).
  • Metered
    Billed per unit of a metric (e.g., $0.20 per contact).

๐Ÿ“ Fill Out Plan Details

  • Name: What is this plan called?
  • Currency: Default is USD.
  • Cadence: Billing frequency (monthly, yearly, etc.).
  • (Optional) Accounting ID
Click: Create Plan

๐Ÿ’ฐ Step 2: Add a Pricing Group

  1. Click Actions in the top-right of your new plan.
  2. Select Add Pricing.
  3. Enter a name for this pricing group (e.g., โ€œ2026 Pricingโ€, โ€œFall Promoโ€).

๐Ÿงฎ Step 3: Add Tiers to the Pricing Group

  1. Click Actions next to your pricing group.
  2. Select Add Level.
  3. Fill in the tier details:
    • Price
    • Label (e.g., Gold, Enterprise)
    • Usage bounds (for Graduated plans)
    • Metric (required for Graduated plans)
Tier Form Click: Save
Your tiers will now appear in the grid and will be available for customer assignment.

โž• Duplicate or Modify Existing Pricing

  1. Click Actions next to the pricing group.
  2. Select Duplicate.
Duplicate Pricing
  1. Fill in:
    • A new Pricing Name
    • A percentage Increase or Decrease in pricing (useful for annual updates)
Pricing Adjustment Click: Save

๐Ÿ”• Deactivate a Pricing Group

  1. Click Actions next to the pricing group.
  2. Select Deactivate Pricing.
โš ๏ธ This removes the pricing group from availability but preserves historical records.
